Visit the amazing Kuranda Village, perched on top of the ranges behind Cairns. Take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway up and the Kuranda Scenic Rail down. Pickup from the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal bus stop at 9.45am. Return at 5.40pm

Skyrail Up Train Down for Cruise Passengers
Travelling down to Cairns on the train gives you the option of finishing at Carins Central Station in Cairns CBD.
It can also be a more pleasant journey as the train engine doesn't need to work as hard coming down the hill.

  • 09:45 Pick up from Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal Bus Stop
  • 10:45 Departs from Skyrail Smith field Station, head to Skyrail Station
  • 12:15 Arrive Kuranda, customer will have free time in Kuranda
  • 15:30 Depart from Kuranda by taking Kuranda Scenic Rail (Train)
  • 17:25 Pick up customer at Cairns Central station
  • 17:40 Drop off customer back to the Cruise Liner Terminal

It was a wonderful day. We only wish that we had some extra time to spend in Kuranda beyond the visit to Koala Gardens as it did deserve more time.

Hi travstar team thank you for for oganising a great day to kuranda. It was great to be picked up and dropped off at my accommodation by a very helpful bus driver. The connections went very well. Up by the train and down by the skyrail. It would have been good to have had longer at kuranda as i had a ticket to explore three wildlife parks and i only saw two. My friend from scotland did not get a chance to get her photo taken with a koala as the 1.30 appointment was too late. I felt the time on the mountain was too rushed and i would have liked to be there for longer bye vivien.

Very well organized outing. Driver was at the hotel early and gave us all the information we needed for the day regarding timing and tickets. Train trip was great and the Skyrail was a great experience even though I am not a fan of heights!! Driver gave us a great commentary on the way back to the hotel with a bit of local history and explanation of what we were seeing. Arrived back well within the suggested time and had a great day. Happy to recommend to others.
